My girlfriend dropped her phone and broke the screen. When powered on all the other buttons work. I believe there is still touch sensitivity, but I can't tell for sure. Also, this phones usb port is broke for charging. When I use the special fast charge cable/usb 3 cable that came with the phone, and use that to connect to my computer using usb 3, the phone vibrates like it connected although no screen pop-ups on my computer. There is no screen lock/password locking the phone so thats not a problem. If I press the lock button and swipe like im unlocking the phone, then double tap the home button the voice command turns on so it seems like the phone is unlocked. I believe that all that needs to be done is switch to MTP on the phone. Im not sure how to do that with a black screen though. Is there any way to remotely switch it? Or am I going to have to just try and "imagine" where the button on the screen would be. The phone is At&t if that matters any.

If the USB port is broken and does not charge I don't see how you can use it to connect to a computer. With no screen to see what is going on and with no drive letters showing up when you connect the phone to a computer, there is no way to get this working without replacing the screen. Was the phone synced to online storage? Google Photos maybe? This is why backups are done before you need to use them, next phone, make sure files are saved somewhere, SD card, or cloud or connect to a computer and copy to that periodically.
