Is this normal cpu usage for i7 7500u laptop?

Hello, I recently got a new laptop (Spectre x360) and noticed that using Avira uses about 20-30% of the cpu, with a total of about 50% including other tasks. I just wanted to know if this sounds normal, temps are around 70 C when doing the scan. Thanks!

Well yeah the CPU is used when you do antivirus scanning, totally normal...

How new? Windows may still be indexing the drive...this can eat up a fair few cpu cycles.

After a week? I doubt it. Keep in mind the "u" series processors are rather weak in comparison to their bigger siblings on the desktop or even the "H" mobile series. And as noted by others scanning takes quite a few CPU cycles. I wouldn't sweat it much.
