So recently for christmas I got a new motherbaord ram the whole deal but a CPU I was planing to use a old Pentium from 2009 it said it was pentium supported so I bought it and bam It wstarted up but no display it maybe a bad motherboard so I sent it back getting a new one soon just would like to know here is the motherboard

Motherboard: MSI H81M-E34 LGA 1150 Intel H81 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

the Pentium name has been used for many years. the motherboard may say it works with Pentium processors but only certain generations and models which would be listed in the supported CPU's in every motherboard manual and specsheet
