Hi, looking for some help with my headset. The headset is a Logitec G430. It comes with a USB which allows for the microphone jack and headphone jack to be plugged in via USB. While using this, my computer generates a rather annoying static noise caused by the grounding of my power supply.
Being too lazy to fix this, I'd like to plug the jacks into the rear panel of my PC, as for reasons unknown to me this stops the noise occuring. However, when plugging in the Microphone jack (into the pink port for reference) the microphone does not detect my voice.
I have tried numerous methods mentioned in previous threads such as making it the default device, changing volume levels in properties, and enabling different devices to see if there is an issue with naming. I have also tried fiddling with settings in the Realtek HD Audio manager but have still had no luck. Finally, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling audio drivers, as well as checking for updates.
I'm going to attach some screenshots of my current settings and I hope someone is able to help me fix this issue.
Thank you in advance
(I hope these prove as some use)
