Computer randomly shuts down

After a good 8 - 12 hours my computer shuts down at random.. can't tell if its the PSU, i thought it was overheating but had a look on the forums and could possibly be just the PSU, though i need to make sure it isn't anything else before i set out and buy a new one within the week or two.

I've had this set up for a good 2 - 3 years now. so any suggestions, hints at something would help.

Bae:
CPU: Intel i5-4670k
GPU: 4gb Radeon r9 290
PSU: Corsair CX750m
Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45 Gaming (MS-7821)
Ram: 8gb Hyper fury x

also, would someone point me into a direction for a decent psu. corsair... never again.

also i read somewhere the psu and gpu i have give bad coil whining, bad relationship status? maybe this caused it over time..

Do you know if it's overheating? What are your temps? When was the last time you cleaned it.

Have you tried to clean your pc, re applying new thermal paste to the CPU?

Temp is at 40 - 45 as norm. havent cleaned it for a while, but isn't really dirty. maybe should try to clean it.

use this on sensor page that give info about temp psu power and fans speed report anything tha look unusual also if you repaste you could use mx2 or mx4 they do not need cure time ,the other thing did you ever memtest the ram .

on the sensor page what are volt reading and others you could made a print screen of it and post it here .

everything look normal on temp and voltages if you have onboard video remove gpu and see it system does the same thing.

comp wasn't working this morning, powered on then off. so toke my cpu out and checked teh thermal paste. it was squished off the cpu and around teh copper on teh rad so scrapped it back into place and hasn't powered off yet. going to buy new thermal paste to get it sorted! thanks for the help, i will do this if it plays up again.

try to get mx 2 or mx 4 they do not need cure alos do not apply to much paste that why it flow all around use isoproyl alcool to clean old paste with lint free clotch like coffee filter https://www.google.ca/?gws_rd=ssl#q=isopropyl+alcohol
