Hello, is there anybody of you have any 10XX dual model card by asus?
I have bought a gtx 1060 dual OC model to match my asus z170-a mobo and blacknwhite build. Problem is - fans!! They are so much louder than my ex 5 years old asus gtx 670. While lowest speed is around 1000 28% its quite but on fan speeds above 1500 like 35-40% they already like jets. on around 50% 2000rpg they make more noise than 5 case fans, psu fan and cpucooler fan.
its some kind of annoying clicking sound when fans reach speed of about 40%. On asus website written how good this gpu is so i wonder maybe fans have any defect? Or i am too sensitive or asus dual model is crap or its normal.
Looks like MSI has best gpu models at this time.

Solution
I had problem with Asus gtx 1060 dual OC and fans didnt stop spinning below 1220rpm, I solved it with next steps

Go to Asus website find your graphic card model, go in support, there you will find upadate for bios for 0db function, download it, close other apps, run that program and you will hear several times beep beep beep from you PC, also monitor will pulse several time, program ask for restart, restart and yyyuuuuuhhhuuu FAN SPEED 0%

Well it also can be that me and you have different opinion on what is quite and what is loud so i guess this thread wont help to realize if my gpu is defect. Also ive tried to hold gpu while fans 100% and it feels that card has some sort of pulsating vibration. I dont really get why would someone put 2x 4000rpm fans into gpu its so dumb.

I have the GTX 1060 Dual OC as well. And mine is loud. Also it will sometimes do a pulsing vibration noise but as soon as I put put slight upward pressure on it it will stop but start right back up. Must be something with the card. Glad I'm not the only one. It looks really good though. I also got it a while back to match a z-170 a board by ASUS but now it's in a z-270 and looks even better. Luckily in my new case (NZXT-S340 elite) it doesn't really get hot enough to spin the fans past 35%. But in my old case it was a jet.

Well this card is horrible but paid only 150 $ for it so i keep it. I adjusted manual fan curve and its better now but still noisy.
Make sure u download bios update for your gpu from asus website! It will let your fans go passive which helped a lot.
Beside being loud its the most horrible version of GTX 1060 for overclocking. You cant push it far cuz of only 6 pin connector, i managed to add 135mhz, which made it run at around 1970 mhz under temperature of 73-75C. If i put even 5 mhz more then it crashes instantly, no matter what temperature is. To compare, MSI gaming X runs under 55 C while full stressed and letting u overclock to around 2100+ MHZ. So much worth extra 30 $ to pay for quality and performance card.
So if you going to buy a gpu highly recommend not to buy this version.
