I've been having problems with blue screens for a while now, and it was looking like thermal issues were the cause for said blue screens, but recently I've been having different problems.
My PC will run fine for a while, I can browse, watch videos and play games. After a while though, web pages will stop loading. I can still interact with my already loaded ones, but any new ones opened wont do anything. I can shut my web browser down normally too. Once I interact with my desktop it will freeze however. I may click on an icon once to highlight it, but then I can't do anything else on the desktop. at this point I'll still be able to hover over my taskbar and it will animate the glow when over an icon, but as soon as I click the same thing happens. It freezes and I can't click on anything. I can't control alt delete and no programs will open no matter what. My only option is to shut down the pc by the power button.
I feel like these could be caused by the hard drive. I've had this pc for 4 years now and the hard drive has been in it since I bought it. Could the drive be corrupt or something? or could it be naturally starting to die? My drive frequently checks itself on startup too.
