I have an Asus P8Z77-V with BIOS version 0906. Whenever I try loading UEFI BIOS Utility by pressing DEL, it gets stuck on the following screen and doesn't respond:

My OS still boots and works completely fine (by the way, Boot Device choice by pressing F8 also works). The utility also used to work when I configured this PC, but now for some reason it doesn't. I tried removing the video card and changing the RAM configuration, but it didn't help.

Does anyone have an idea whether it could be fixed?

I tried unplugging my mouse (it's the only USB device, the keyboard is PS/2), nothing changed. Removing all HDDs resulted in a new window with text "No bootable device is detected. System will enter the BIOS Setup Utility" and an OK button upon hitting del. In this window my mouse cursor worked, hitting OK also worked and lead to the same screen as in the OP.

I tried removing the battery (by the way, using CLRTC jumper had no effect), the clock is now set to 1.1.2009. The only effect on the problem is that the mouse cursor is now sometimes operational on the BIOS Utility screen, but clicking any buttons does nothing. As a side effect, Intel Boot Agent has become active, and my OS has suddenly refused to work with the network interface (cured by latest chipset drivers).
