for the last few days I've been experiencing massive latency spikes while gaming. For a large period of time my ping stays low (around 24) then at random it will jump to 600+
I've used power line and WiFi and both experience this issue.
Here is an example of my ping fluctuation (pinging to google.co.uk)

I hope someone can help as its really sucks
Thanks

the word modem is used for fiber, coaxial and adsl connections, as always is good from time to time to ask for support in your internet provider, reporting erratic behavior and problems opening pages that are sporadic, they should at least test connection to the modem and see how good the signal is

sudden spikes on the conection means that someone is oppening a big page or loading heavy content like downloads and videos, do you use the wifi from that modem? do you use a router after the modem?

the internet connection, is it shared with other devices like smart tvs?
