Upgrade needed from AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series

So I've had this system since I think 2011 or 12, don't remember. Anyway, it's served me well but it's time for it to be upgraded. I've already updated the SSD in it but I need a good GPU to upgrade to, or any other recommendations for the system, mainly just looking for help in the GPU department though.

System:
CPU: Intel Core i7 3770K @ 3.50GHz
RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 668MHz
Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. P8Z77-M (LGA1155)
PSU: Master ATX 650W 240V

GPU: 1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series x2

Price range is... oh, let's say $200-$450AUD

If you want to stay with AMD then I'd suggest the RX 460 or 470....if NVidia then the GTX 1060 or GTX1070.....The Nvidia cards draw less power and given I don't know the quality of your PSU, I'd say NVidia is the way to go. That being said, the 7700's could draw up to 200w on at load whereas the RX 470 is around 150w so I suspect which manufacturer you choose you'll be drawing less power than your current card.

Well from suggestions I'd get either the RX 480 or the GTX 1060 after looking them up and doing some research. However I get mixed ratings on both of them. Both really nice cards however RX 480 works great with Dx12 games which isn't many of right now, while GTX gets the upper hand on Dx11 and VR rating, also over clocking speeds.

I'd assume the RX 480 will slowly bloom more down the road and will preform nicely, but I'm not sure what to buy at the end of the month.
