i plan on sli two evga geforece gtx 1080 ftw and i currently have a EVGA 650 GQ, 80+ GOLD 650W and was wondering if it would be enough or if i should purchase a new power supply and if so which one would be best. just didnt want to jump the bullet and gone ahead and purchase a new power supply.

Solution
It depends on the 1080s in question. I think in SLI, most will be near the 650w Limit, and some will surpass it. 750w would give a little more headroom, or even 850w for the 1080 in SLI. I'd suggest putting your build into PCPartPicker, and doing a SLI on your specific GPU configuration and see what it's power calculator says the system will draw and go from there. (just adjust for Country of purchase if you need more accurate pricing.)

EDIT: Well, using TDP (I know, not exact power draw)... SLI would pull 430w for any of the three FTW models listed at PCPartPicker. (I was thinking of things like the Zotac Amp! Extreme models which pull a lot of power when I mentioned the 850w.) I'd still be more comfortable with a 750w PSU over...
