I just bought a new mouse off of amazon, I like almost everything about it but the scrollwheel is just too sensitive and is very jumpy. If I slowly scroll the wheel down or up, itll frequently jump back in the opposite direction, sometimes I dont even have to fully roll the wheel to have it start jumping back and fourth. Ive looked up a lot of stuff on this before coming here and im hoping someone can help me out because it makes the mouse almost unusable.

It's a $14 LED mouse with no reviews. I'd be more surprised if it worked well.

You can adjust scroll wheel sensitivity a little bit in the control panel. Worth trying. If that doesn't do it and I suspect it won't, you should RMA it.

Other than the options in Windows no. Some mice come with software ( Logitech, Corsair etc. ). I'm guessing that's not one of them.

It could just be a broken mouse.

You could use Autohotkey to ignore single scrolls. I.e. allow a "scroll up" only if a previous "scroll up" event has passed during the past 1 second. It does require a bit of scripting. And, if I were you, I would rather retain the option to have one scroll notch equal one scroll event, so I'd just return the mouse!
