Hello. My GeForce 780 Ti died just two days ago with artifacts and whatnot, so I'm forced to buy a new GPU. I'm leaning towards 1070 although I have other components from like 3 years ago.

Intel 3770 with four 3,40 cores
16 gigs of DDR 4
MSI Z87-G43 Gaming motherboard
And a 750W PSU.

Do you guys think it will be alright with a newer card like 1070? Won't it bottleneck the rest? Also, if so, what manufacturer would you recommend? Is there any bad rep with faulty batches of cards from a particular producer? My 780ti was Gigabyte and I had some bumps on the road with it and it just died after about four years of use so yeah., not too sure about Gigabyte now.

I should also point out that it's a gaming Pc, I don't do any heavy graphics work.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Solution
Well considering games nowadays are badly optimized you may not be able to max some games.
If you're okay with high settings then get a 1060.

How about 1060? It's a lot cheaper and I read the performance is great. I run only in 1920x1080 and on a 60Hz monitor so I'm not sure if I even need 8 gigs or is 6 gigs enough.
