parts:
CPU: i5-6500
GPU: GTX 1060 6GB(RoG Strix)
MB: ASUS H170-Pro
HDD: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM 64MB
SSD: SAMSUNG 120GB 750EVO
RAM: HyperX Savage DDR4 2133MHz(2x4GB)
Case: NZXT S340 Black

According to several 'watts counting' websites even a 450W PSU is enough. I'm planning to buy a Corsair CX550M PSU (550W). But CX550M is a bit expensive. But it's nice quality as far I heard. Corsair VS550 would do?

Solution
VS550 is a pretty bad PSU.
A 450W PSU is more than enough, your system will barely use 300W.

I suggest the Corsair CXM450, Seasonic S12II-430 or the XFX Core / Pro 450

when people say corsair VS psu series are bad it looks like it would explode or something. im not planning on overclocking

Nah they won't explode. But they have a high failure rate and degrade fast. Buying a new one every few years is actually more expensive than buying one quality unit that can last you for 8-10 years.
Also the cheaper the unit the less safety features or the less good the safety features are.

A Seasonic S12II is usually pretty cheap and these units are very durable.
A CXM450 is a pretty nice unit as well.

Anything below (in terms of quality) I wouldn't recommend. Will they work? - yes
Are they worth their money - probably not.

wouldnt 550w/500w psu be more future proofed?by the way im planning to add some led strips

Well GPUs need less and less watts.

My OC 1070 used less power than my old R6850 while being around 5 times as strong (in not more)

CPUs are more or less stable.

Your system will draw around 270W under full load.
Unless you're trying to illuminate your house it should be all you need.

Depending what kind.of future upgrades we're talking about 450 is all you need.
550 are of course nice but it depends on how much you're willing to spend.
