What would be the better buy a Powercolour R9 290 PCS+ OC 4GB(R3100/$226,55) or a Zotac mini Gtx 1060 6GB(R4300/$314,25),the R9 290 is recertified and the Gtx 1060 is new.

A 3GB version of the Zotac mini is also a option at (R3500/$255,78) aswell as the RX 480 4GB at(R3599/$264,80) but i prefer to have the higher vram versions so the RX 480 8GB(R4400/$323,74) is also a option.

Assuming your PSU is capable of power either of them and that you're not going to see a bottleneck then you should go for the GTX1060 as it's the latest from Nvidia. I'd stay away from the R9-290 simply because it's more power hungry however what monitor are you going to use to in tandem with either of those GPU's?

Mind sharing your full system's specs?
