water cooling radiator positioning

Hello , just bought the Corsair H45 and was just wondering if it makes a difference putting it on the top of my case or the back side. The back side already has a fan and if i put the radiator on the top should i keep the back fan?

apologies if this makes no sense

I have the H100i and have the radiator located on top and I have had no issues. I also have rear exhaust fans so your setup should work.
Btw, made sense to me.
