Hello,

So a few days ago I ordered a new processor: AMD Athlon x4 860k and when I tried putting it in, my pc would give 3 beeps (1 long and 2 short ones) and no display on the monitor. The fans and everything else is working yet I still don't get display on my monitor.
My old processor: amd a6-6400k apu with radeon(tm) hd graphics
When I put my old processor back in, my pc works perfectly fine again; no beeps and display is fine.

Things I've tried:
- Try different cpu fans
- Remove the cmos battery (There is no jumper or cmos reset button on my motherboard)
- Cleaning the motherboard and ram sticks (Some people on the internet said it could have something to do with the ram, but they work fine for me)
- New thermal paste
- Removing all the cables and putting them back in
- Switch back and forth from the old to the new processor a lot of times but still no display/boot with the new processor

Specs:
- Motherboard: MSI A68HM Grenade (Searched on google and yes, the processor should be compatible with this motherboard)
- Old processor: AMD A6-6400K apu with radeon(tm) hd graphics
- New processor: AMD Athlon x4 860k

Thanks for reading this far. If you have any ideas or suggestions please let me know, anything is much appreciated.

Solution
the A6 is an apu and has integrated graphics.. the x4 860k has no built in graphics... are you using a video card... if not.. then thats your problem with no graphics.
