Is it a Fugazi, fake ram in sold to me?

I purchased 2x16 GB DDR4 @2400 sodimm ram sticks by crucial, from amazon.com for use in my Alienware 17R3 with the 1080p display. So, I installed them and booted up and went to the about pc tab to make sure everything was gucci, however it was not. It said 16GB installed! So, ofcourse I shut down my laptop and restarted, went to boot menu, ran ram checks and then reviewed my configuration and this is what it said I was sporting

BANK 0- channelA-DIMM0, 8192MB, DDR4, 2133 Mhz mfg: sk hynix, s/n: 49718314 P/N: HMA41GS6AFR8N-TF

and BANK 2- channelB-DIMM0, 8192MB, DDR4, 2133 Mhz mfg: sk hynix, s/n: 497183132 P/N: HMA41GS6AFR8N-TF

The box they came in check outs quite well.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on here? Before booting down to the boot setup I checked msconfig and made sure that max ram was not set to anything and so I've already done that. Any ideas?

Those part numbers match 8GB modules, so you bought/received 2x8GB (and not a matching 'kit' either; two individual modules).

If this was listed as 2x16GB, then contact the seller/Amazon to rectify the issue.

This is my review on amazon, and I got a response from the amazon no reply saying they could not post my review at this time in its current form. Here is what I posted. Do you see anything wrong with this or do you think this is a conspiracy?

BUYER BEWARE!!

I am giving this item two stars, and that is very generous because I believe I will have to exchange this item. The box came neat and undamaged(not crushed), that is one star. The other star is for the shipping was fast. HOLD THE PHONE!!! You sent me 2x8 gigabite sticks marked, packaged and labeled as a 32GB kit! So, I will need a refund or exchange, now, however, I would prefer the latter. So, I do not know how this happens, but I installed this properly and after checking my about pc configuration in windows, and the UEFI it is confirmed. This RAM has been MISTAKENLY PACKACKED. Seller, please contact me for any questions, I respond to email. I really would like to continue business with you as it seems you have a high quality product, (Seeing how your 2x8 gigabit sticks have already sped up my laptop, which had a 2x4 previously. And to add insult to injury, the sticks you sent me are only clocked at 2133 MT/S DDR4.
