Will the B250 Mainboard run 2400 MHz ram at 2400 with a 6th generation intel processor?

I have a core i5 6500 cpu and a 2400 MHz DDR4 Ram, which on my B150 mobo runs at 2133 MHz. Now I saw that the B250M mobo runs DDR4 Ram of 2400 MHz at 2400 MHz along a 7th gen intel cpu. The question is if I plugged my cpu and ram on a B250 mobo, will it run my ram at 2400 MHz?

Solution
No, XMP will not result in 'full throttle' of the CPU.

CPU generations (by itself) does not 'control' RAM speed. The Chipset does. The Z170 (and Z270) chipset supports speeds >3000MHz, but the B150, H110 & H170 were limited to 2133MHz. The 200 series changed that a little, to a max 2400MHz on some of the H's & B's.

A significant difference? It'll depend on your actual use, but generally, no.

Sir, doesn't enabling the XMP Profile result in full throttle of the cpu all the time? Apart from this, is it certain that no other ways exist ?
I actually didn't get the fact why CPU generation would control running a ram at 2400 or 2133 MHz.
Furthermore, is there any significant difference in between running a 2133 MHz ram and 2400 MHz ram in performance ?
