So, i bought a used strix 970 and now have them in SLI. But i noticed that Battlefield 1 is still stuttering sometimes even to 40fps at maxed settings. I play at 1080p

I have a i5-4670k and i've overclocked it to 4.2Ghz with the stock cooler. CPU usage is at 100% at 99% of the time while GPU usage is 50-60% (both gpu's).

So what i was thinking should i buy noctuas NH-D15 and get a better overclock with it? It costs 86€ here.

CPU will porbably be at 100% for BF1 as it is designed to use more CPU. However why on earth are you using a stock cooler? Those are not meant to handle overclocks. You want to get a aftermarket cooler asap. Something like Cryorig, Hyper 212 or Noctua will come to mind.

Is BF1 optimized that bad for SLI or is the stuttering because of my 4670k? The game stuttered with a single 970 also but I feel like i got almost no FPS increase. Also if i buy a CPU cooler i would like to get the best one with reasonable price.

It's designed to work with the 6600K in mind. However, it should be able to be ran on your i7 as well. Just something to think about it. there is suppose to be a patch. As far as a cooler, the Cryorig C7 or Hyper 212 EVO comes into mind.

If you want to OC any Intel/AMD cpu you have to buy a better aftermarket cooler ! Stock Coolers are never good for OC anyway ! I think you will be good with cooler master hyper 212+ evo its not that expensive too !

It will usually prevent your CPU from having 100% spikes, which is why you're dropping framerates and/or are stuttering. Worked for me. Doesn't seem to be a major difference between high and ultra settings anyway.
