I am waiting to buy new PC,I considered couple of things, here goes my statement :
z170 based Gigabyte Gaming 3 advertised giving 16Gbps USB 3.1 speed , z270 based similar motherboard z270x gaming 5,
chipset is still offering usb 3.0 (or 3.1 gen1). Even nothing is new in storage or section , slots also.
yes z270 has 24 pci lane. but 7700k is still offering 16 pci lanes as same as 6700k.
Overclocking to 4000Mhz is not generally intended by me, Only one unclear thing is Optane storage , But for this, the same naming (just as z170x gaming 3 , z270x gaming 3) is costing me 10-25 more usd in my country. So overall I think its not worth, I am considering a z170 with 7700k.
One more question, the performance will be utlized fully in 100 series motherboard ?

Solution
You'd get exactly the same CPU performance. But, keep in mind that if you buy a Z170 board, you may need to update the BIOS in order to make it support the new 7xxx CPUs, and to do that, you need a supported, 6xxx CPU, unless the board supports BIOS updates from a USB flash drive, which most Asus boards do. Other than that, they are pretty much the same, a 7700k should work just fine with a Z170 board.

True, compatible BIOS updates are offered For 7th Generation Kaby Lake on Intel 100 Series Chipset motherboards. You would likely need to purchase a 6th Generation CPU to flash the BIOS. A 6th Generation Celeron CPU is about $50.

Intel 200 Series Chipset motherboard don't need a BIOS update. 7th Generation CPU on Intel 200 Series Chipset motherboards also requires Windows 10 64-bit.
