Hello, sorry if this is a wrong forum, but since its a PC game so I put it here.
I am having problems with Half-life/Counter-Strike 1.6 resolution. Every time I close the game it resets the graphic settings and in the settings menu I can't find my main monitor resolution (1920x1080) the max at the moment on widescreen is 1440x900 I think. The problems started after I optimized CS 1.6 on GeForce Experience and it has been stopping me from playing. Also at 1440x900 the graphics look like they'd be on 480p and I can't switch to my right hand (cl_righthand 1) nor will it allow me to open the Steam overlay. If You have had this problem or know how to solve it, please help.

Also i tried to revert but i have upgraded my drivers and NVIDIA control panel was somehow deleted? And now even if I try to optimize the game, it will reset every time. Other games are fine though.

Solution
Sounds like Nvidia has created a profile that not allowing the game setting. Check and remove the profile and try again.
Unless you are running a very, very old system you should be able to run the game maxed out at more than enough fps.
Also I noticed some settings GFE suggests are far from optimal (Like enabling DSR but setting the game to lower settings, even if the game is running flawlessly as it is already set)
