i have a HP slimline 260-p109 desktop pc, I dont know what motherboard it has. would I be able to change computer cases to a bigger/normal sized one or would the motherboard not fit in it?, Thanks

Edit: I was thinking something like this, what do you think? https://www.techmania.ca/product/thermaltake-versa-h21/

Solution
It's a standard mATX board, with standard PSU connectors as per:
http://support.hp.com/ca-en/product/HP-Slimline-260-p100-Desktop-PC-series/12548102/model/13378614/document/c05066299/

So, yes, you can move it to a new case.

I can't tell what PSU is in there, but chances are it's non-standard in form-factor, so a PSU upgrade would likely be necessary too.

One thing to note, some HP/Dells et al use proprietary front panel connectors, so connecting the case front panel to the motherboard can be a little bit of trial & error.

Yes though, it can be done.

Thanks, the psu is 180 watts. im on a budget so i only have enough for the case, so I want to start by upgrading the case to a bigger one to fit a 550-650 watt psu, then buy the psu, and then upgrade the gpu when I get the money. ps.im new to pc so if something isn't right sorry.

It'll work, it's just likely you won't be able to secure the PSU into a new case, so it'll just kind of sit there.

Your cabling may not be long enough to reach to the required connectors when mounted in a larger case (the PSU size and cable length are likely unique to the small form factor it came with).
