I was wondering where could I buy a display port 1.4 I've looked everywhere and my moniter comes with one but I don't know if its DP 1.4

Your monitor has DisplayPort 1.2, I don't believe 1.4 has made it to market yet.

What do you feel you need 1.4 for? Are you perhaps confusing it with HDMI 1.4? (with 2.0 being the latest & greatest)

no im not mixed up with hdmi 1.4 ive done alot of reseach and my persenal favorite is display port not hdmi

Only one or two monitors exist with DP 1.4, and they are either 4K or 8K (as 4K @ 120Hz, 8K @ 60Hz) are the only 'main' benefits to DP1.4

You have a 2560x1440 monitor....which can be achieved with DP 1.2

As far as I can tell there are no Display Port 1.4 monitors available, There are not many DisplayPort 1.3 monitors out there either.

It's only equipped with DP 1.2 because that's all it needs. Upgrading to 1.4 wouldn't benefit it in any way.

Well, that's simply untrue. In my case, I want DP 1.3 or 1.4 because I want to drive 2 4K monitors @ 60 fps via DP daisy chaining. Can't do that if the monitor only supports DP 1.2.
