Hi people,

I am having some problems with my cpu and motherboard,

I have a Z170X Gaming 3 from Gigabyte and a I5 6600K.

Everytime i turn on my computer i need to start ThrottleStop because my Cpu gets stucked at 800 Mhz.

I tried to modify some options in the Uefi bios but nothing works. I do not want to overclock. Just want my cpu works at 3.5 Ghz.

Can anybody help me? What information do you need?

Solution
That looks normal, temps are in the high 20's, around 10% cpu usage. The cpu-z shot looks like idling and since the cpu isn't maxed out or under stress/load it used the speedstep to drop the multiplier to x8 so it's sitting at 800mhz. There's no real point in the cpu running at max speed when it's barely being used. Try running p95 v26.6 with small fft's enabled and see how the numbers change. Temps will likely shoot up to 60-70c, usage will be at 100% and the speed should increase to around 3.7ghz (it won't reach 3.9ghz with all 4 cores loaded with stock configuration).

This is what Cpu Z shows:

and this is what RealTemp shows:

I dont know why its the difference between them.

I already set my power plan to high perfomance and checked every item.

RealTemp 3.70 is 5 years old and does not report the MHz correctly on the 6600K so do not use it.

Is your CPU stuck at 800 MHz when it is loaded? What setting in ThrottleStop are you using to get your CPU back up to full speed? Post a picture of how you have ThrottleStop setup. Make sure SpeedStep is enabled in the bios.
