On Gta V with my setup (a msi gaming x rx 480 and a intel i5 6600nonk) i am getting around 60 fps constant but when driving in a fast car or when in intense action the game constantly drops to fps in the low to mid fifties. I have mad sure to turn down very demanding features like msaa msaa for reflections reflection quality grass quality adn have none of the advanced graphics options available. When i checked benchmarks online it said my computer should be easily capable of 60fps at those settings and used msi afterburner to check that no throttling occured and that my cpu ram and gpu had high percentage utilization so thee computer clearly recognized and used it properly. Are these fps normal because in other titles like witcher 3 and skyrim se i have a constant 60fps on very high settings or is my gta bugged

Same thing really. GTA doesn't look great without very high AA settings, and even then you'd need a modded version, but your framerates will only get worse so that's about the best you'll get in that game. Try OC'ing your GPU if you know how. Doubt a 7200rpm HDD would impact performance but yes check your HDD usage stats too..

Also i just read that another guy was having bad performance due to him having a defective gtx 970. Do you think that could be it as im still in the first 30 day period where amazon deal with the return so it is alot less hassle so if it is . Also if you need i can post unigne heaven benchmarks tomorrow or 3d mark scores to compare with other users of a similar build

I have 8gb ddr4 2133nhz ram the 8gb rx 480 and the cpu usage gets highest 70 to 80% usage with afterburner and discord running in the background while I talked to others

Oh yeah it's 1080p on a 7200rpm hard drive as well
