FPS display counter

anyone know any good fps display counter when i was using FRAPS in Overwatch. I notice that when i turned FRAPs completely offf i went from 60fps to 120fps. But heres the thing i wasn't recording. I Only use Fraps to see if I am getting 60fps but seems like if i have it turn on its still lowers my fps ? PLEASE HELP

If you've got an nVidia GPU, Shadowplay works fine as an FPS counter.

those of us who don't use fraps use msi afterburner

there are others but those two are the most popular

I didn't realize Afterburner had an FPS counter. I've used it for other things, yeah, good piece of software.

after you install afterburner, install rivatuner, it adds a module to show osd, otherwise it can show in the taskbar or other devices

but don't go crazy adding every single option, it will cover half of the screen

only important is cpu load, gpu load, fps and temperatures, perhaps ram vram usage

You do know that there is a in game fps displayer right...?

Go into the video settings. I think it's in a drop down box called performance stats in those settings.

the fps counter is present in some games, but not 100% of the games existing now or that will exist have such feature

if the game you want doesn't have it, this one is loaded with windows and will be automatically showed whenever is possible

some of those fps counters can be set to update as fast as possible or each 2 seconds more or less, the faster it updates, the more resources it will use, most times you will not notice a impact on performace but as you see, op says a performace impact with fraps

yeaa steam fps will display the same fps result as others like afterburner. <<< i use quite a lot when gaming
