I recently upgraded to the be quiet silent base 600, and it has a manual system fan controller on it. My problem is that I don't know if it is working properly. When i switch the speed i don't really feel a difference in air speed if i put my hand behind the rear exhaust fan, which is the default silent wings 2 fan, and I can't tell a difference in noise. Is there any way i could guarantee that the 3 speed fan controller works?

Solution
Stock rear 120mm fan at max (high setting) is spinning at 1200 RPM. Without knowing the fan RPMs at medium and low settings, i can't tell if it's even possible to tell the difference in speed by holding hand in the airflow.

But to test it, buy a fan that has LEDs in the corner. E.g Corsair AF120,

With this fan, when the RPM changes, so do the LED brightness. This way you can easily test all the 3 speeds on fan controller by visually looking the LED brightness.
