Good Day All,

So I recently constructed my pc and it has been going well... Everything runs smoothly and is overclocking like a champ...

I have 3200 DDR4 ram and i set it to 3200 in the bios, but when I benchmark it says it is running at 2333... I wanted to know if this was an oversight on the benchmarks and it is really running at the higher speed or if you all think I've missed something... I was running 3d mark for benchmarking...

My system is...

i7 6700K running at 5 Ghz
Asus Hero Alpha
16 GB G Skill Trident 3200
Corsair Hydro H110i
GTX 1080 Asus Strix (2124 OC)
Roswill 1000 w psu
Several SSD's
Thermaltake case with a lot of fans

Any more info, let me know what you need...

Thanks,

Adam

My dad's PC misreports his memory speed.

The best way is to run Memtest86 www.memtest86.com

That will report any errors, but also reports the memory bandwidth so you can check if that makes sense.

*I believe it should be roughly 62,000MBps read for 3200MHz DDR4 memory (varies by latency a bit too).

I checked and I did enable XMP... I'll check out the mem test... :)

I ran CPU z and pretty much it is telling me I'm running 2133 memory... I checked my bios and it is all saying I should be doing 3200... :) Very confused...
