So I installed a new graphics card in my tower. After doing so, my ethernet port just stopped working. The top LED on the port flashes yellow and the bottom is solid orange. I try and reinstall the drivers and I get an error message that says what is in the thread title. Checked the BIOS to make sure the LAN controller is on. Checked the ethernet cord and router and they are fine. Took the CMOS battery out and that didn't work. Any ideas on what is going on or how to fix this?

Solution
Looks like some people fixed this by either enabling it in the BIOS. If it was off. Or turning it off then on

Or unticking the option to save power under power management under its entry in device manager
