Hey, I have noticed that after no more than a few hours my computers performance drops dramatically. By stats my computer should be pretty good. But compared to most of my friends who have lower quality builds, they out perform my computer in most games. And I find I have to restart my computer a lot due to freezes and just little to no performance. Please help me!!
CPU: i5-6600k (not oc)
GPU: EVGA GTX 1070
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (4gb x 2) DDR4-2133
MOBO: Msi b150 Gaming M3
HDD: WD Blue 1TB @ 7200 RPM

Okay, I understand you're not OCing you CPU and that you're running it at its rated clock-speed.

What are you cooling that CPU with? What Cooler? It kind of sounds like the cooler may be under-performing. That can mean the cooler is insufficient, the thermal paste isn't right, or the cooler's connection to the CPU is wonky.

I am using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO with the thermal paste that came with it

Okay, while it isn't the best cooler out there, it should be good enough to keep it cool at stock speed, The thermal compound was already applied I'll assume, and I'll also assume that this was a brand new cooler. Make sure it is snug enough, yet not too snug on its mounting brackets. If all that is good, it is time to take a look at your case and how you routed your wires. Potentially the case could use more fans and better wire routing. (I cannot see inside your case to know how the cables are routed.)

So I tried what you said and I took the cpu cooler off and i replaced the thermal paste and tied to organize the wires a bit better and when i went to start it up it would start up and die over and over again. Also the LED's on my GPU and Motherboard do not turn on when the system starts up. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

First thing I'd check is to make sure all the cables are plugged back in properly. If you missed one, or one wasn't connected all the way, or connected properly, it could cause those issues.
