Not entirely new but only a year or so old, ive had the problem where after gaming for an hour or even the most graphically un demanding games, e.g. Terraria, the whole PC will freeze, and a loud buzzing noise will blast from the speakers. Temperatures are fine even on the heaviest of games like Battlefield 1, gpu never going over 70c, and cpu never over 50c.

Components
Mobo - MSI z170a Gaming pro
Cpu - Intel i7 6700k, Cooling via Kraken x61
Gpu - Gigabyte Windforce 980ti Xtreme Gaming
Psu - EVGA 1000w p2 Platinum
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR4 2400MHz
OS - Windows 10

I deleted Nvidia Geforce experience which gave me some issues previously, turned off the nvidia sound driver and using the default Realtek high def, as some thought it was a sound issue, same issue persists. I replaced my old Corsair CS850M with the EVGA 1000w as some also thought it was a power supply issue, same problem persists.
i had an old MSI gtx 970 in here previously that gave me no trouble, after removing its drivers and replacing it with the 980ti.

After the system freezes with the loud noise, i have to do a full hard reboot of my pc for it to stop, and after a bit of gaming, back to square 1

Any advice or help/suggestions would be fantastic. This was posted on other sites but with 143 views and 0 replies you can imagine anything by now would be greatly appreciated
