Recently upgraded my computer but it seems like it made it worse?

I recently upgrade my pc.

Current specs:
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
System Manufacturer: MSI

Processor: AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor (6 CPUs), ~3.5GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 4038MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti
Manufacturer: NVIDIA
Chip type: GeForce GTX 550 Ti

And I would expect it to run games smoother, which it does (Before I couldn't play OverWatch but now I can with 60 fps), but my problem is I have a lot of random freezes. While browsing the internet, my computer would lag/freeze up for a couple of seconds. During games it happens also (which is extremely frustrating.) I was recently playing the game Planetary Annihilation and I got a status from it saying my computer doesn't meet the required specs, it needs atleast 8Gb of RAM and a quad core processor. And I was confused because I have a 8GB of RAM and I have a 6 core? So I starting looking it up and researching and when I checked my task manager it says only 3 cores while 6 Logical Processors. So I'm just confused. Is there any way to fix these things? The computer also just feels slow in general.

When you upgraded did you do a fresh install of Windows 10.
What is the model number of your motherboard.
As for the task manager only showing 3 cores thats normal, each core has 2 logical processors.

I'll have to get back to you on that as I don't currently have the information on me at the moment. But when I do I'll update you.
