Just freshly installed windows on my new disk and the user account is taking up 140gb's of space.
Why is that and is there any way to get more disk space? [Windows10]

Solution
i just said "thats weird" twice in a row... what anti virus are you running? might want to scan PC as I got no idea why a fresh install has 138gb in temp files.

run disk cleanup (search cortana) and let it clean temp files

When I go to: C:\Users and go to properties of the User folder, it states that the folder takes up 140gb's of space. I just bought the SSD and freshly installed windows 10 on it.. I don't even have anything installed yet.

that is odd, mine shows 4gb and this is a 1 year old install. MInd you, I have moved all my library folders onto another drive or it would include all my music, pictures, movies, documents.. have you installed any of those things on PC?

can you run https://windirstat.net/ on your pc, it will show you a visual break down of the drive.

Have you got an old Onedrive account that happened to have about 100gb of files on it? Its possible that its synced all your files, win 10's version of sky drive is pretty dumb in that regard. It makes a folder on C of all the files it syncs up. Best move this to another drive if you have one.
