I want to buy an air CPU Cooler has good performance vs looking. I did a lot of research and decide to pick one of these 2 coolers.

Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3: good looking with black build, a little quieter than Cryorig R1 Ultimate.

Cryorig R1 Ultimate: good looking too, a little bit cooler than BQDRpro 3.

I don't mind about temp vs noise coz they aren't much difference. All i want is performance so which one has better performance?

I used to choose Noctua NH‑D15 (best performance out there) but man this thing is an ugly brick.

Good Morning!

If you were building a custom water loop, there is the risk of leaking, but testing the system properly can avoid that, and set up a great cooling system.

Consumer AIOs rarely ever leak though. In fact, the pressure on water cooling companies to produce a reliable product is huge for they understand the liability they will face if their product regularly destroys people's computers. The main risk with AIOs is pump failure. But a decent AIO should last without issue for a few years, and a lot of folk upgrade within that timeframe, so it lasts the life of the computer at least.

I absolutely personally agree with your feelings about air coolers too. Don't get me wrong, they do a great job of cooling your CPU if your...

Greetings!

I think you already have your answer. If the Cryorig runs cooler than the BeQuiet, then it has a bit better performance...supposedly. The only way to know for absolute sure is to test them both on your setup...which is not really applicable for you would have to buy them both, which I don't recommend. You will probably be happy with either one:)

Hope this helps!

My setup gonna be new generation with old skylake Cpu and Z270 Mobo. Those Z270 Mobos are really nice beautiful and I'm not confident to put big air cooler on Mobo, blocking amazing Mobo views. I'm deciding between air vs liquid but liquid is not reliable, leaked. Does the warranty replacement of all parts in PC covered damge by liquid cooler? If not, have to replace all of it omg.

I absolutely personally agree with your feelings about air coolers too. Don't get me wrong, they do a great job of cooling your CPU if your case has proper airflow, but I find them large and obtrusive looking. I just recently built a new system for 3D rendering. It is a dual processor setup. I could not bear the idea of 2 air coolers filling my view in my new glass sided case:p So after a lot of research and hunting the forum posts, I came to the conclusion that AIOs would be a reliable and safe cooling option for my $2900 investment. I monitor them to ensure they are both functioning, and they have proven to be an awesome choice. The keep the CPUs totally frosty even under load (30C - 43C), are super quiet, and look great in my opinion.

Air and Water are both reliable cooling options these days, and there are many really good options on both sides of the court. It really just comes down to your budget and what aesthetics you would prefer for your build.
