Hi, I am looking for any motherboard that is compatible out of the box for the i7 6800k. This is my 1st time building a pc. I bought a asrock extreme4 for my i7 6800k, only to realize that when I turned on my new pc, it wouldn't post. I returned it because I didn't have any way to update the bios. If anyone could please refer me to ANY x99 mobo that doesn't require a bios update to run the i7-6800k. I honestly have been researching so much on x99 motherboards because I really want this workstation build for me to go well.

Build:
CPU: I7 6800k
GPU: R7 240
RAM: CORSAIR DDR 2400MHZ 2X8
PSU: EVGA SUPERNOVA BRONZE 750w
SSD: Kingston 120gb
OS: Windows 8.1
Cpu Cooler: Corsair Hydro h115i
Motherboard: To be Determined
HDD: N/A
M.2: N/A

Greetings!

At this time, since the 6800K is so new, most mobos are going to require an update...though most can be updated via usb drive without the system having to be fully up and running. There are many youtube tutorials regarding this procedure, and it is pretty simple. You only need to have a usb drive and access to the internet with another computer (you can even use one at the library probably), to acquire the updated BIOS. The mobo should have instructions on how to "flash" the BIOS and then you should be good to go!

Hope this helps!

ps. Here is a link to pcpartpicker's list of compatible mobos, but you have probably done sufficient research on all of these:
