Hi Guys,

Since my old PSU was smelling a bit burned, but still working though. I replaced my PSU. I've had a Corsair 650w and replaced it with a G750M from Cooler Master. Everything went well and replaced the PSU. I've changed nothing else.

However, when I launch a game, such as csgo my FPS became 10-30. Instead of my always 250-300fps. Every game has a major performance issue.

GTX970 benchmark results

GTX960 benchmark results from earlier 2016 https://i.gyazo.com/9651a83fb605dcb1561b8ba02d60d127.png

You can see a major difference in performance. However, everything is running fine, temperatures are ok etc.

Things i've already tried:
- PCIE cables inserted correctly
- CPU power cable inserted correctly
- Tried my GTX970 on a friends computer. It's working great, so it's not my GPU
- Switched back to my old PSU and connected that one. Still no luck, got the same performance issue.
- Bios settings to default

Solution
To be honest with you, I am pretty sure you have the video driver version for the GTX 1070, not the 970. I would reinstall your GPU drivers, A CLEAN REINSTALL.

21.21.13.7586 - Driver ID linked to display driver for 1070.

CORRECT DRIVER 970 this is a lnk to the lastest updated driver you want to reinstall after your clean uninstall.||

Let me know results ;)

Edit: Also please post be pictures of the GPU UNDER LOAD, of the CPU when underload, and of the RAM usage under load.

I need to see all these stats on CPU, RAM, GPU while a game is RUNNING, and while one is NOT.
This will greatly speed up the process.

@bailojustin,

Well, thanks mate! Your solution seem to have the problem fixed. Deleted everything called Nvidia and installed it again. For now it's working as it should!

Thanks you so much!
