Hello,
as the title says, I was unable to boot up and because of that I considered buying completely new mobo. However I have an old socket type CPU so the options are quite low. Is there a way to fix this?
The computer after starting beeps 3 times. I have a HP microtower 7300.
Some guy at service told me that this mobo by HP won't be compatible with non-HP graphic cards thus I need to upgrade. My old GPU was gtx 545 3gb.

Thanks anyone who has an advice.

Solution
OH THATS WHERE YOU MESSED UP.

1050ti requires a good 300w power supply, but get a 400w psu for safety.

make my reply the solution.

Does your motherboard even have enough power to make the 1050ti work. The 1050 and the 1050ti don't have any pin connectors. You should know what pins are right. This graphics card doesn't have a pin slot so it gets power from the motherboard. That's why this card isn't nearly as powerful as the rx 470 or 1060. I hope this is the answer to your question. I recommend getting a better motherboard with better power, or getting a card with a 6 pin or 8 pin slot like a rx 470 or a 1060. Do you at least have a decent power supply. I have a Hp from 2011 and i am also getting a 1050ti soon, i'm very scared that i have to replace my mobo. I hope i answered your question :)

I have a 300W power supply, which is probably very weak. However, the 1050ti is said to be very low power-consuming. Plus in the reccomendations the 300w was enough. So I don't think the power supply is the problem. But ofcourse I have very little knowledge in that regard.
If I were to buy a new mobo, like this (MSI H61M-P31/W8), keeping the same PSU, would it be sufficient for my 1050, or even 1060? I'm little woried that if i were to buy a 1060, i'd need to invest in my power supply as well, which is another $$.
Tthank you for your time :)
