BIOS won't recognize SATA HD/New GPU after update

I decided to get myself a GPU upgrade, a GTX750 Ti, however my motherboard did not work with it. It didn't boot, just a kinda random beep every minute or so.

I tried contacting ECS support to ask for instructions and the person who got back to me told me to update the BIOS. I did it and it seems to have kinda of worked (The new BIOS date shows on the boot and it boots into a Linux USB (however Windows10 USB gave me ACPI_BIOS_ERROR in a BSOD)).

My problem is that this new version of the BIOS can't see my SATA HD (and my GPU still don't work). Can someone give me some insight on what I should be doing? Really lost here and can't find a similar problem online.

My rig that used to work:
AMD FX8120
A990fxm-a v1.0
GTS 250

Also if someone can tell me if the GTX750 Ti works with a990fxm-a I would be thankful, I found online it should work but I don't really know how trustworthy this info is.

Yes, updating the BIOS may solve your problem, because the pc needs the newer BIOS to recognize the newer hardware. But you used the win10, and the BIOS is for win7 or win8 only http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/ECSSearch.aspx?menuid=0&lanid=9&keyword=A990fxm-a%20v1.0 , so you may try use other hard driver and install either win7/win8 first, update the BIOS. Then switch back to the win10. It sounds like strange, but just try it.

Also try 1) using DDU with gts 250 to uninstall the GPU driver first, then switch to the gtx750ti. 2) may try to boot into the BIOS by using the gts 250 too, try to find there is the option in the BIOS where you can disable the "Secure Boot" and enable the " Legacy Boot". Recommend read the MB manual.

Thanks, will try that.
Just to be sure on what to do (quite a noob here sorry), should I try to install win7 and re-run the eBlu tool? Or install win7 and flash via usb the newest BIOS available?

Because the latest BIOS version is showing up in the boot screen so I think it actually installed sucessfully. Is it possible to reflash the same BIOS version? I never needed that so I'm quite confused, sorry if this is trivial.

Oh, and my Linux USB stick can see my HDs and acess their files.

If the newer version BIOS does show up you don't need update it again.

Do you dual boot the PC with win10 and Linux? or just use win10? and what software is inside that Linux USB stick? If you had the linux recovery software in the USB, and that HDD may has problem, I am confused because you said you used the Linux USB and Windows10 USB.

One more: usually after updated the BIOS, the PC will reset the BIOS setting to the default, you should go back into the BIOS to make sure the BIOS setting. If you use only win10, try the BIOS setting: disable the "Secure Boot" and enable the " Legacy Boot".

I use only win10 on the HDD and I have puppy on the USB. I also tried to boot with a win10 USB Installer but that gave me a BSOD.

I can't find nowhere in the BIOS setup "Secure Boot" and "Legacy Boot", the most matching thing there is here is "Launch Storage OpROM" which has the following description: "Enable or Disable Boot Option for Legacy Mass Storage Devices with Option ROM."

Can't find anything about it in the manual as well.

After messing arround for so long in the BIOS, with USB sticks and like 5 HDD I decided to take a shot at re-flashing the same BIOS version via DOS. And it worked.

Well, at least the HDD part. The new GPU still has no sign of life (besides the spinning fan) and a random beep every minute or so. The monitor even turns on but no image is displayed. Not even the American Trends boot or anything, don't know exactly what else I could do right now.
