I'm looking to upgrade my GTX 760 since it's an old graphics card now. My question is if you guys think the 1060 is a good enough upgrade and if not, which other card do you recommend? Thank you.

EDIT : I currently have an i7 - 4790 CPU.

a 1060 is about a 980, so yes it is quite a good upgrade. if you plan for keeping it a long time a rx480 might serve you better in the long run, and if you have the money to spend a 1070 would be a fabulous upgrade (your CPU can handle it).

The 1060 would be a huge improvement over the 760. I personally have an old 770 in another machine, and am considering upgrading it to a 1060, because the 1060 gets nearly double the FPS in a lot games over my 770. So compared to your 760, the performance gain is even greater. Once upon a time, I found some benchmarks comparing both of them directly, but that was difficult to find because of the generation gap, and I can't find it again. But indeed, the performance increase will be very, very noticeable.

If you intend to keep it for a few years I would suggest the 6gb version or get a RX480, AMD drivers age like wine, Nvidia drivers get worse for some reason.
For now its a superb card coming from the 7xx series.
