I finished building the pc and everything was fine. I booted up windows and installed, but I realized one of the RAM sticks I had wasn't being recognized. I shut everything off and and placed the RAM properly. As I booted up the PC everything seemed to be running fine, but the computer was not connecting to my monitor. I read online that I would need to take out the cmos battery and RAM to reset the bios. I did that and now beither stick of RAM lights up, the monitor still will not connect, and a red light is shining on the mother board. I did not do anything with the jumpers. Would that be an issue? Solution
Its sounding like a motherboard failing. Try unbolting your motherboard from the case and set it on the motherboard with everything else plugged up. Test and make sure its not a grounding issue. Try 1 stick of RAM at a time again while testing. Try it with no drives connected.

It was working fine before I inserted the second RAM stick though. After that, I was not getting any signal. That's when I saw online that I needed to reset the cmos. I just pulled the battery our but did not switch the jumper.
