Hi Guys,

If you have seen my other threads, you could tell that I've been having problems with my CPU over the past week or so.
The CPU is being throttled from 4.3GHz down to 800MHz below a temperature of 45 Centigrade. I have a big 240MM water cooler in my NZXT Lexa S Case and I believe that the reason for it being throttled is due to the Motherboard's VRM's overheating. Could someone help me resolve this issue?

Thank You,

Vedant

System Build:

Motherboard : Asus M5A78L/USB-3

GPU: GTX 970 Strix

CPU: Fx-8350 @ 4.3GHz

Cooler: Enermax Liqmax 240mm

RAM: 4GB x 2 Hypperx @ 1333MHz

PSU: EVGA 500W

If your VRMs are overheating you could either set your CPU overclock back to stock or rig up some kind of fan to blow air onto them. I've seen some people say that CPU coolers that blow downward onto the mobo tend to work better for AMD setups.

There's one more thing. Before I went on vacation for a week the PC was running stable at 4.7GHz with the same Motherboard. However, when I got back it isn't even stable at 4.0GHz (I have already reverted it to stock).
Also, the RAM is not a problem as I have done tests and tested each stick individually.
Therefore, I don't believe that reverting to stock will fix this problem. Are there any more ideas which I could try?
