Hi, I was after a bit of help please. I am replacing my old GTX 660ti to a new RX 480 NITRO+ 4gb next week and I would like to know the process of doing this please if someone could explain/help. I am fairlt new to PC's ans so far have only changed a PSU and CPU/cooler out. If I delete all my NVIDIA related programs (drivers, etc) before I remove the old card, then put my new card in, will my display work??? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

First off, which PSU do you have? The 480 NITRO+ is an additional 75W power draw vs the 660ti, so just want to make sure all checks out there.

You've pretty much got it, yes. Remove all drivers etc for nVidia (DDU* is great and has a "removal and turn off, for new GPU" option), then turn off, physically remove the old/insert the new and power up and install drivers.

Cheers for the info. I have added EVGA 600 W B1 Series 80+ Bronze PC Power Supply Unit, so should be all good on that front (I hope :)) I will get that programme now to prep for next week. Thanks again, much appreciated

According to nVidia:

the 660ti and 480 have the same power draw...

To OP: the procedure quoted here is dead on and should allow for a smooth transition. Enjoy the additional performance.
