Hi,

I need to know which component in my computer I should upgrade. I have an HP p6210y (I know it is old and bad for gaming). The specs are here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01859864
I have upgraded my RAM to 8gb. Should I upgrade the processor or gpu? My friend is willing to sell me his GTX 660 for $50. If I should upgrade my processor, which one should I get? I don't have a lot of money right now.

Thanks in advance

Agree with SR-71 on that one. Your PSU at 300 watts is not going to support a GPU of any real power and even if it could it would be bottlenecked by a slow CPU. The entire system needs a hardware reboot.

I just checked NVidia's site and the 660 (not even a Ti just a 660) can draw 140 watts by itself. That is almost 1/2 of what your PSU is rated at. NVidia states the system should have a minimum system power requirement of 450 watts. Even that old 660 is too powerful for your system.

Don't waste any money on that system. Save your money for a new system. Also a $20 PSU is going to be a piece of junk.
