I recently picked up a Dell Precision T5500 workstation for a song recently. An unexpected bonus was an SAS adapter. When the system boots up, the card identifies itself as a Dell SAS 6 Host Based Adapter. However, when I go to Dell's site and enter the PC's serial number, the original config shows a Dell SAS 6/IR Raid Controller.
