That is the correct adapter for this particular drive (Samsung 850 EVO M.2 is a SATA interface drive). But for the sake of anyone who finds this answer in the future, if your M.2 SSD is a PCIe interface drive, you will want a M.2 to full-size PCIe slot adapter instead.

The M.2 spec only defines the physical dimensions and layout of the pins. It does not specify the interface bus type. And there are M.2 SSDs which use the PCIe interface and can hit higher speeds than SATA (M key).

If you plug a PCIe M.2 SSDs into a M.2-to-SATA adapter, it either will not fit or not work (if adapter is only designed to work with B-key SSDs). Or it will work but be limited to SATA speeds. So you want to be sure to put these drives into an adapter which will allow full PCIe speeds.
