How do you guys clean your mechanical keyboards? How often do you clean it fully? (Corsair Strafe RGB)

Given the major distance between the key caps and the keyboard itself (also in between each key), the keyboard occasionally tends to eat my hair. Now obviously the solution to that is pulling off the key caps and picking out the hair but that's not always enough. The top of the key caps is easy to clean with a slightly damp clothing, it doesn't get dirty much but I suppose it could use a more thorough method every now and then.

How can I safely clean my keyboard, properly? How often do you guys do it? What materials, cleaning products do you use to avoid damaging the paint on the keycaps and the keyboard in general?

Thank you for any replies, advices.

Blow and wipe... tip it upside down and whack it gently.

I do NOT eat or drink while using this thing... So, I only clean it... wait, I've never cleaned this keyboard in the 5 years I've had it.

Other people, I get them a new keyboard every year, cause they eat, drink, and spill crap onto it all the time. Even the laptops, I've replaced dozens of keyboard/track pads due to food and drinks.

I've never spilled anything on it. But I lose a lot of hair and it gets into everything. Hair and dust, mostly. And it proves to be rather tricky to remove hair.

Thanks for the reply.

you must have really long hair

I use a vacuum cleaner, removes most of the dust, for the rest a small brush, hint: never eat doritos over your keyboard, crumbs will stay there forever
