Disappearing and reappearing hard drive?

I've been on here once before on another account but I'll get straight to the problem, and you can already tell what my problem is by the title. A couple of days ago my monitor would blink and all files that were on my hard drive (SeaGate 3TB) would just disappear, short cuts that led to files on the hard drive would show up as an icon that looks like a piece a paper and the rest of the files that were on my SSD were fine. After a few seconds it would blink back and it would be normal. Today that happened again except it didn't blink again like usual. I tried to launch steam and other files I had installed on it were saying to check the plugs and such and I did. I've tried many things like switching cables around, trying the hard drive in a different computer, Putting a completely different hard drive in my computer that already had windows on it (It couldn't start up). Everything I've tried points to my computer as the problem. Anything I can do? PS. I'm not the most tech savy.

Edit: It sometimes will show up in disk management, device manager, etc. But when it does it doesn't show any details, like the size of the disk. Either the entire drive is not there, named as "Unknown device" or the actual names itself.

That's what I thought. I have another computer and used that hard drive with windows already on it and it ran into and error and wouldn't start up after multiple tries. So wouldn't that mean something with my computer not detecting the hard drives I put in it?

Not necessarily, you can't expect Windows to start okay when it came from another entirely different machine anyway, boot errors are to be expected in that scenario. It doesn't invalidate the proposition that the other hard drive is/might be failing.

Yea, that does make sense, but I figured that would happen so I gave it 4 times to start but maybe it wasn't enough, and my hard drive works perfectly on the other computer I tried it on. I've now started running into some problems with using the computer. After around an hour or so a little pop up will occur with Windows running into a problem and I need to end the process and the desktop goes away. Randomly my applications all stop working and I can't launch anything. I just sit on my desktop moving my cursor around. When that happens I can't search anything in the windows search bar but I can click on it, and that happen alongside whatever applications I had going at the time frozen. My computer just went down hill all the sudden and I haven't downloaded anything recently. All of this just came out of no where. Computer says everything is fine.

try a different or external power adapter to your hard drive while keeping the sata connected to the computer, test if its a problem with power from your power connector on your pc.

connect another sata cable to your computer, and plug it in to another sata port.

make sure you have the correct sata drivers, your in legacy or uefi, whichever you are using check it to be correct.

EDIT:
sounds like a corrupt sector, caused by bad writes. also run a CHKDSK to check your hard drive for errors. Post me some "smart attributes" from your hard drive when plugged into second computer, I need to see all of them please and thanks.
