Hello,

I was playing with one of my GTX 1080 from manufacturer called Colorful GTX1080 I game X top model.

In the previous generation our biggest issue was the temperature and nowadays you don't really need to tweak your fan curve because you will hit your GPU limit before your GPU temperature reaches the set point where it starts to throttle.

I was able to reach around 2050mhz~ and temperature is quite good around 65~70C at 35~45% fan speed.

The card comes with 2X8 pins.

I did some research and I noticed most people stuck in this range. The question is how to exceed this limit?

I believe the TDP limit 185W.

2050mhz is average for the 1080. You could increase the power and voltage to get more performance if you have not already.

Try overclocking your memory.

My 1070 overclocked to 2020 max boost clock and +420 on the memory.
