So now i have tried to overclocking My i7 2600k with a hyper 212 Evo on 4,6 ghz . When i Ran Prime95 on Blend mode for 10 minutes i Got My highest tempeture on 82 Celsius is that Good or bad? I'm at voltage 1.4300 with a MSI z68 gd55 motherboard . Before i had it in 4.5 ghz and i Was stable at mid 70s after 10 min Blend test. I Was then at 1.3950 volt . What tempeture should i have om Prime95 after around 10 minutes??

Solution

That is a very good overclock and should have no effect on longevity.
Considering your vcore and that you are using Prime95, those temps aren't that bad. If you're going to use Prime95 to test, use version 26.6 or earlier. Later versions support AVX and cause abnormally high temps which you will never see in real life. I would recommend capping the vcore at no more than 1.4 and living with the highest stable overclock you're able to achieve. A max temp of 70c leaves you a little thermal headroom to allow for high ambient air temps or the cooler getting dirty.
